BURLINGTON - A 6-year-old boy was struck by a car on North Street Monday after losing control of his bike, said Burlington police. The unidentified boy was riding on the sidewalk at about 5 p.m., when he lost control and veered into the road. The boy was struck by a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old female who was traveling at about 20 mph, police said. The boy suffered a laceration to his head and other minor injuries, said police. He was taken to Fletcher Allen Health Care, where is was listed in stable condition.Police said the boy was not supervised by an adult at the time of the accident and was not wearing a helmet.
I think that his parents are irresponsible for leaving him unattended and not telling him to wear a helmet.
BOSTON -- Heavy fog may have led to a collision between two commuter boats in Boston Harbor early Tuesday, but authorities said it did not appear that any of the passengers were seriously injured.
The two vessels crashed into each other between Hingham, Mass., and Boston's Rowe's Wharf during a period of extremely low visibility about 7:30 a.m.
The vessels were identified as The Massachusetts, with more than 150 passengers on board, and The Laura, with four people on board.
When its foggy out to a point that you can see you probably should drive boat. Same with driving a car its hard to see.
FARMINGTON police and fire department personnel investigate a bus accident Monday at Camp Courant in Farmington. About 25 children were injured--none seriously--when the bus, ascending the driveway of the day camp at 96 Batterson Park Road, came to a stop and began rolling backward. The school bus, which was returning the campers from a New Britain Rock Cats baseball game, went down an embankment and hit a tree.
If you have vehicle that has kids that aren't yours and you are responsibility for them the bus should be checked every time the driver gets in just like with a car.
